Created Ministries puts Christian faith into action in two distinct ways: Partnering with local schools and supporting young adults ages 18-25 who have aged out of the foster care system or are at risk of homelessness. Partnering with local schools allows Created Ministries to connect with families in the community and care for needs they may have. Supporting youth who have aged out of foster care and those at risk of homelessness gives Created Ministries the opportunity to share the hope of Jesus while helping them reach independence with security and encouragement. RISE –> Reaching Independence with Security and Encouragement
Created Ministries’ RISE program is available to young adults at risk of homelessness and those aging out of foster care who are seeking assistance to live a life of independence. RISE offers assistance in housing, job placement, money management, and individualized life skills training. RISE participants are paired with an adult eager to help them navigate adulthood and independence.

Created Ministries has been given some amazing opportunities to support and serve the teachers, staff, and students of local schools. Through partnerships with schools Created Ministries is able to identify individual student needs, offer encouragement to teachers and staff, and build relationships with students who might be interested in the RISE program after graduating from high school.

Where It All Began
The vision for Created Ministries began with an encounter and a small understanding of the realities of life for an incredible young man who had aged out of foster care. After much research and continued learning from other young people in foster care or who had recently left, a plan to help began to come in place. However, it became increasingly obvious that even with all the resources and help in place, nothing could replace family. Hearing from youth in foster care opened our eyes to better understand the importance of at least one meaningful adult, someone we call a Lifter, in their lives. Therefore, we aim to build a community of supportive adults eager to help young people at risk for homelessness as they navigate independence. We believe everyone deserves the stability of a secure home and the encouragement of at least one meaningful adult. It is our hope that through these relationships and caring for their basic needs that each one will know they are created in Christ, that God did not mess up when he created them, and they will believe that no matter what has happened in their life Jesus is the reason they can live with hope.
